ARIAN inaugurates Imo chapter

The Association of Registered Insurance Agents of Nigeria has inaugurated a new chapter in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

The association, in a statement on Sunday, said the inauguration of the chapter was part of its mandate of registering all insurance agents in the country.

According to it, the registration of the agents will enable the national secretariat to deepen insurance penetration in the country.

ARIAN said it had identified strategies to take the records of all registered insurance agents in Nigeria.

The association said the new chapter had the responsibility of consolidating and developing the agency network in Imo State and work with all stakeholders to eradicate fake insurance agents.

It said the new chapter was also asked to create a working relationship with the state government by increasing the internally generated revenue of the state and reduce the rate of unemployment by developing agency network initiatives across the state.

“It is our vision to see a strong and vibrant association with unlimited capacity to support the agency practitioner and improve the wellbeing of a successful insurance agent as well as reduce fake agents in circulation in the sale of insurance products in Nigeria,” the National President, ARIAN, Mr. Gbadebo Olamerun, stated.
